La Famiglia, a Chelsea restaurant that has been on Langton Street for 51 years, is facing possible restrictions following noise complaints from a neighbouring resident.

The council has recommended a 9pm garden closure, which the restaurant argues could threaten its future by preventing a second dinner sitting. More than 247 people have written in support of the restaurant ahead of a public hearing where three councillors will decide its fate.

Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare but life-threatening condition, often associated with tampon usage. Londoner Shivani’s last memory is inserting a tampon and waking up almost five days later in the hospital.

She had almost died when she contracted TSS, and it developed into sepsis. I spoke to her about her experience and the lasting effects of her ordeal.
